However, the pleasure palace loses its charm when a dead body is discovered in a secret bedroom, followed by ghostly apparitions. Fifty years pass when Arkansas zoo worker, ALVIN MILLER, moves to Hollywood, later buys the landmark, and converts it to a pet motel. Arvin, ready to retire, has a long bucket list. Overwhelmed by a menagerie of evils, Babe hires struggling stand-up comedy hopeful, CHARLENE “Charlie” Murphy, who unknowingly barters a room occupied by frisky 1930’s romantic spirit LAWRENCE LA FERN. The tightknit neighborhood feature a cast of relatable characters with well-meaning intentions faced by challenges they solve in their own inimitable way.
